About Me

When I was 12 I fell in love with photography as an art form. After obtaining my BFA from The School of Visual Arts in New York City I started working for a wedding studio in Long Island as an assistant and after two years of hard work and dedication to the craft I became the Main Photographer. Ten years later and I'm still growing, still exploring.

The aspect of wedding photography that excites me the most is how well rounded you have to be. The mixture of portraiture and photojournalism, even product photography, the way you have to coordinate so many different elements while dealing with challenging light conditions and the pressure of the moment is something that I relish and excel at.

I take a cinematic and romantic approach to not only capture the story of the day, but to capture the feelings underlying those moments by utilizing my knowledge of composition, lighting, depth, and positioning so that the story packs the emotional punch this special day deserves.

I Love Golf!

When I was 18 a friend of mine saw my father's old golf clubs in the garage and as almost a joke, he suggested we go to the driving range and mess around. That first time we barely made contact and nearly fell down a few times, but I did hit a few good ones and that was all I needed to get hooked.

I try to at least hit the range at least a few times a week and to play at least once. It's just such a great and relaxing sport (whenever its not driving you crazy!)

My Daughter Changed My Life

She's about to turn four and having her has changed my life completely for the better. If I'm not working, creating images, or golfing, I'm spending time with her and my family, and trying my best to stay in the moment. She's growing up so fast!

Having her has driven home to me how beautiful it can be to create something so incredible with someone that you love, and that's what I love so much about wedding photography: that ultimately it's about creating a family unit with the most important person in one's life and I love being able to participate in being a part of that. Being able to provide people with beautiful images of the start of the most important aspect of their lives is a great honor that I take with the utmost gratitude.
